Helge Bork - Manager Hamburg office - on maternity leave until 2/2011email

Helge Bork

Helge has studied in Germany, Mexico, Poland, the UK and the US. She holds a BA in Languages (University of Wolverhampton), a MA in European Studies (University of Exeter) and a MA in Sociology (Uniwersytet Jagiellonski Krakow). In addition she has a diploma in International Project Management.

Before joining the Foundation's coordination office in October 2003, Helge has worked for different companies in Ireland, Spain and the US.

 

Julia Garbowski - email

Julia is working on the development of a worldwide network in the russian-speaking area and cares for the web-based data base.
Before doing an internship at the coordination office in Hamburg, Julia went abroad for an exchange-semester at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She studies Social & Policy Sciences.

 

Maike Grundmann - Manager Pähl office - email

Maike graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt in May 2005. She spent one semester at the University Vienna and completed an integrated traineeship at the federal environmental agency in Berlin. In her diploma thesis Maike was concerned with the implementation of the CO2-Emissiontrading. After her studies Maike worked for several companies and spent one year in New Zealand. She joined the Global Marshall Plan Foundation in May 2007.

 

Andreas Huber - Global Commons - email

Andreas has graduated in Business Law from the University of Applied Sciene Pforzheim. During his study he spent 5 months travelling and working as a volunteer with deaf children in southern Africa. Moreover he studied one semester International Management in Rotterdam and he holds an additional qualification in Sustainable Development and Philosophy (UNESCO-Ethikum). He completed his degree with a diploma thesis about "Implementing ILO Core Labour Standards in the World Trade".

 

Anna Jark - Plant-for-the-Planet - email

Anna studied pedagogics in LĂĽneburg and finished pre-degree in 2009. In her basic study stage she did internships in facilities for disabled people; there she worked with both adults and children. Before becoming our volunteer in environmental projects in September, she spent some time in a convent situated in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and Czechia. Now, she is working in our coordination office in Hamburg where she is supporting the students engaged in Plant-for-the-Planet.

 

Timothy Klofski - Graphics - email

Since August 2008, Timothy has been working in the Global Marshall Plan Initiatives co-ordination office in Hamburg. Serving his civilian service as a volunteer in environmental projects, he will supervise the project Plant for the Planet. Before coming to the Global Marshall Plan Initiative, after his abitur in 2007, Timothy has worked as a graphics-freelancer and as assistant at Trinity Agency Berlin. After finishing his civilian service, Timothy continues working for our foundation, supporting us with his design skills.

 

Juliane KrĂĽger Plant-for-the-Planet Academy email

Juliane has been involved with the Global Marshall Plan Foundation since 2005. Starting from January 2010 she is working in the coordination office in Hamburg.
Juliane has graduated in Applied Cultural Sciences at Leuphana University LĂĽneburg in October 2009. During her studies she completed a 1-year study program in sustainability and in her Master thesis investigated how non-profit organizations can use events as a means of communication for sustainability. Before working for the Global Marshall Plan Foundation, Julaine worked for the department for sustainability of the City of Hamburg and for the Climate Foundation Hamburg.

 

Miriam Lakemann - Global Marshall Plan Academy, Plant-for-the-Planet Academy - email


Miriam is studying pedagogics and economics in Augsburg. She already got involved in several areas on an honorary basis, for instance she worked in the Students' Union of the university of Augsburg. Since 2006, Miriam is working for the Global Marshall Plan Inititiative and did an internship in the coordination office in Hamburg in 2008. At the moment, she supports the development of Global Marshall Plan Academies.

Michaela Mattern - Accounting - email

After finishing her training as an Industrial Business Management Assistant, Michaela worked in the construction materials business. From 2000 to 2007 she was responsible for the accounting in said domain.
Since 2007, she has worked for the Global Marshall Plan Initiative administrating the incoming donations, tax computations and executing other accounting tasks.

 

Sabine Neumayr - logistics - email

In 1993, Sabine finished her apprenticeship as a state-accredited educator. Afterwards, she worked in a SOS Children’s Village kindergarten, eventually managing the SOS Children’s Village Hermann-Gmeiner-Kindertagesstätte in Dießen from 1995 until 1997. Taking a pause to give birth to her two sons, she then worked in a Catholic nursery until 2007. Since September 2007, she has worked for the Global Marshall Plan Foundation by supporting the logistics team in Pähl.

 

Shino Plum - Plant-for-the-Planet - email

In September 2009 Shino finshed her studies in international business and management. She completed two semesters abroad at a partner university in Porto/Portugal. She did her internship at the company Chiemsee where she was operating in the sales department of the board-sport-brand. During her studies she worked often for the new ethics institute for values in economic and in 2009 she was responsible for the on-site-realization of two new ethics conferences.

 

Olga Scheiermann - Plant-for-the-Planet - email


At the end of June Olga finished her Abitur in Rendsburg successfully. Since August, she is working in the coordination office in Hamburg. As a volunteer in environmental projects, she will supervise the students' initiative Plant-for-the-Planet.

Rosemarie Ăścker - Administrative assistant - email

Rosie finished her training in Management Assistant in Wholesale and Foreign Trade in June and kept working at her apprenticing company till December 1990.

Afterwards she was employed at a textile interior design company in Weilheimfor for 6 years. After 12 years and the birth of her two daughters she wants to return to a profession again.

 



Matthias Wobben
, IT - email

Matthias manages the IT infrastructure and web-based platforms used for networking the initiative. His latest experience comes from his work at the CMS-producer Infopark AG in Berlin. He first got involved with the initiative during his studies in Philosophy and Economics. Afterwards, he founded a regional group with Elias Brumm.

Christopher LĂĽderitz - Plant-for-the-Planet - March - AUgust 2009

After his Abitur Chris was travelling through New Zealand Israel and Sweden before he joined our office in March 2009. He too is a volunteer in environmental projects and is, together with Timothy, working on the students' initiative Plant-for-the-Planet.
