Helge Bork, coordination, networking - mail

Helge Bork

Helge has studied in Germany, Mexico, Poland, the UK and the US. She holds a BA in Languages (University of Wolverhampton), a MA in European Studies (University of Exeter) and a MA in Sociology (Uniwersytet Jagiellonski Krakow). In addition she has a diploma in International Project Management.

Before joining the Initiative's coordination office in October 2003, Helge has worked for different companies in Ireland, Spain and the US.

 

Maike Grundmann - mail

Maike graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt in May 2005. She spent one semester at the University Vienna and completed an integrated traineeship at the federal environmental agency in Berlin. In her diploma thesis Maike was concerned with the implementation of the CO2-Emissiontrading. After her studies Maike worked for several companies and spent one year in New Zealand. She joined the Global Marshall Plan Foundation in May 2007.

 

Andreas Huber mail

Andreas has graduated in Business Law from the University of Applied Sciene Pforzheim. During his study he spent 5 months travelling and working as a volunteer with deaf children in southern Africa. Moreover he studied one semester International Management in Rotterdam and he holds an additional qualification in Sustainable Development and Philosophy (UNESCO-Ethikum). He completed his degree with a diploma thesis about "Implementing ILO Core Labour Standards in the World Trade".

Sabine Neumayr, logistics

In 1993, Sabine finished her apprenticeship as a state-accredited educator. Afterwards, she worked in a SOS Children’s Village kindergarten, eventually managing the SOS Children’s Village Hermann-Gmeiner-Kindertagesstätte in Dießen from 1995 until 1997. Taking a pause to give birth to her two sons, she then worked in a Catholic nursery until 2007. Since September 2007, she has worked for the Global Marshall Plan Foundation by supporting the logistics team in Pähl.

 

Angela Oppenheimer, Plant-for-the-Planet team

Angela joined the team for the "International Day of the Tree" campaign in December 2007. She was previously working in the banking sector and in event management.

Oliver Strasser - Fundraising

Oliver has been engaged in the Austrian Sporting Goods Industry for the last 13 years. As a Key Account Manager, for the last five years he was in charge of of a Swedish and Norwegian trade brand at the Austrian headquarters.
After taking a long break to travel, he decided to join the Global Marshall Plan Foundation. Since September 2008 he has been responsible for expanding the headquarters in Austria

 

Sumiko Tanaka mail

Sumiko studied in the US and France and got to know the Global Marshall Plan Initiative during her internship in the coordination office in 2004. She moreover gained work experience while working for different companies and Foundations in France, India and the US.

 

Maiken Winter Plant for the Planet

Maiken grew up in Munich Germany, and studied Biology at the University in Tuebingen. In 1994, Maiken moved to the US for her PhD on ecology and conservation of North-American grassland birds. Since 1998 she worked as an ecologist and ornithologist at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University.
After a training with Al Gore's climate project in April 2007, she dropped her scientific career, and focused on public outreach and education on climate change issues. After 14 years in the states she is now very happy to come back to her home country to help to develop the Plant-for-the-Planet initiative, and to foster children participation on issues that will influence their future.

 

Matthias Wobben, IT - mail

Matthias manages the IT infrastructure and web-based platforms used for networking the initiative. His latest experience comes from his work at the CMS-producer Infopark AG in Berlin. He first got involved with the initiative during his studies in Philosophy and Economics. Afterwards, he founded a regional group with Elias Brumm.
