Global Marshall Plan Initiative wendet sich nach G8-Gipfel an Zivilgesellschaft
"Wenn
wir das System verbessern, schaffen wir die Armut ab!", wertet Frithjof
Finkbeiner, Koordinator der Global Marshall Plan Initiative, den
G8-Gipfel. Das sei die Antwort auf Heiligendamm. "Die Volksvertreter
der mächtigen und reichen Welt haben eine wichtige Chance vertan. Beim
Klimaschutz ist theoretisch ein bedeutender Durchbruch gelungen;
gleichzeitig wurde die Glaubwürdigkeit der G8 stark beschädigt, da die
Versprechen gegenüber den Armen gebrochen wurden. Jetzt müssen die
Bürger der Welt sich ihrer Verantwortung bewusst werden. Wir müssen
eine gemeinsame Strategie entwickeln, wie wir die UN-Millenniumsziele
bis 2015 erreichen und gleichzeitig faire Spielregeln für die
Weltwirtschaft setzen.", sagt Finkbeiner.
"Bangladesch wird die
UN-Millenniumsziele bis 2015 erfüllen und bis 2030 die Armut
vollständig ins Museum verbannen", sagte der Friedensnobelpreisträger
Muhammad Yunus. Das Yunus-Modell stellt das Banksystem auf den Kopf. In
wenigen Jahren hat Yunus mit Kleinstkrediten in Bangladesch, einem der
korruptesten und ärmsten Länder dieser Erde, die Armut reduziert.
Finkbeiner teilt Yunus' Philosophie: "Wir können die Welt verbessern,
wenn wir die Institutionen ändern. Die Welt braucht eine
Systemänderung."
Das Ziel muss eine weltweite Ökosoziale
Marktwirtschaft sein. Die Global Marshall Plan Initiative lädt alle
gesellschaftlichen Kräfte ein, eine gemeinsame Vision für eine
gerechtere Weltordnung zu gestalten. Die Ergebnisse dieser Konsultation
sollen 2010 in einer internationalen Konferenz vorgestellt werden.
Hintergrund:
Die
Global Marshall Plan Initiative setzt sich dafür ein, die
UN-Millenniumsentwicklungsziele zu verwirklichen und eine weltweite
Ökosoziale Marktwirtschaft einzuführen. Sie arbeitet seit 2003 als
Netzwerk von Organisationen und Personen aus Zivilgesellschaft,
Wirtschaft, Politik, Wissenschaft und Medien.

This year under the heading of "People Nature Money - Balanced World or Resource Crisis?"
The ebs Symposium is Germany's oldest and most renowned business congress organised and run exclusively by students of the European Business School. For 18 years, students and leading business executives have come together on the campus of the European Business School to discuss current economic and social trends of high importance with representatives from politics, companies and other institutions.
Every participant is given the opportunity to join a large and diverse audience in listening to interesting lectures and meet highly motivated students and young professionals.
This year's topic,
"People Nature Money - Balanced World or Resource Crisis?"
will deal with the management of "human", natural, and financial resources in the future, also in connection with this year's partner country Russia. Since the volume of trade between Germany and Russia has grown by 30% last year alone, many questions are being raised: Will the energy debate turn into an energy crisis? Will wars for resources become inevitable? Is Russia Germany's last chance to keep up with the pace of globalisation?
