Istanbul Conference backs this process
Civil society needs to bundle its collective intelligence into a global consciousness - probably humankind's only chance of survival. Today NON-governmental organizations are engaging in different issues and everyone is fighting for themselves. It is high time for a world civil society which follows a common vision and joins forces.
Only knowledge multiplies when shared.
Since the G8 summit we have been working on this International Consultation Process. If you are interested in helping us with this, please contact Maike Sippel. The consultation process is integral part of our media campaign JETZT-DIE-WELT-RETTEN.DE (save-the-world-now).
In the Istanbul Declaration the participants of the Globalization for the Common Good conference which took place from 4-9 July call for "a common global action plan, beginning with a multi-stakeholder consultation process, and culminating in a common vision for ending poverty, reversing climate change, financing sustainable development and creating structural reforms in global trade, finance, and energy policy".
This was inspired by the Global Marshall Plan panel which presented the idea of an international consultation process.
Guidelines available
The PR agency Leagas Delaney advanced the Initiative's CD (corporate design) it has been developing since it started to support the Global Marshall Plan in 2004. The results of this process will feed into a design manual for all Global Marshall Plan publications and other public appearances.
Have a look at their proposals and let us know what you think about it.

You are invited to take action!
There is a restoration happening everywhere. You are invited to action
for your highest aspirations for a better world. In the affairs of
humanity there is a tide of possibility, seen in places like the Global
Marshall Plan, the Millennium Promise, and Green Design.
May you
act now for the purpose of a new common ground with all people,
goodwill towards all life, and the better world we have always dreamed
of.

Oestrich-Winkel
Including a lecture by Frithjof Finkbeiner
This year under the heading of "People Nature Money - Balanced World or Resource Crisis?"
The ebs Symposium is Germany's oldest and most renowned business congress organised and run exclusively by students of the European Business School. For 18 years, students and leading business executives have come together on the campus of the European Business School to discuss current economic and social trends of high importance with representatives from politics, companies and other institutions.
Every participant is given the opportunity to join a large and diverse audience in listening to interesting lectures and meet highly motivated students and young professionals.
This year's topic,
"People Nature Money - Balanced World or Resource Crisis?"
will deal with the management of "human", natural, and financial resources in the future, also in connection with this year's partner country Russia. Since the volume of trade between Germany and Russia has grown by 30% last year alone, many questions are being raised: Will the energy debate turn into an energy crisis? Will wars for resources become inevitable? Is Russia Germany's last chance to keep up with the pace of globalisation?
