1. Discuss campaign ideas!

The website www.togetherforequality.org offers a platform for the development of a campaign for 2007. Please help us establish this! Let your ideas flow, so that we can make the best possible use of Germany’s dual presidency in the G8 and EU. On the website, you will find the campaign suggestion put forward by the agency Leagas Delanay, as well as the ideas of other supporters, organizations and networks - for example, GCAP and Attac.
Make more suggestions and/or join the discussion! www.togetherforequality.org

2. "WTO-talks back at square one"

Franz Fischler – the former EU Agricultural Commissioner and President of the Eco-Social Forum Europe – blames the collapse of the WTO-talks on the USA. However, the collapse also provides a chance for a fresh start. In Fischler’s opinion, a new beginning can only be successful once the rich countries start representing more than just their own interests, developing countries are differentiated between and trade talks are furthered. The goal must be an ecologically and socially sustainable world economy, just as that which the Global Marshall Plan demands.
