1. "Global Excess"

In his book “Globale Maßlosigkeit – der (un)aufhaltsame Untergang des Weltmittelstands” ("Global Excess" - this book will soon be published in English) the entrepreneur and author Huschmand Sabet, who was actively involved in the trade of oriental carpets for more than 50 years, takes the reader on a revealing tour of a world shaped by globalization. The unacceptable situation of the middle class is in the centre of focus. Mr. Sabet briefly outlines the basic procedures and trends as well as the side effects and reciprocity in a coherent way and in a universally comprehensible language.

If you are interested in ordering the book (German version) at subscription price, please consult our website.

2. New flyers available

The Global Marshall Plan Initiative's new flyers just came out of the printing press. Order them through our website. Apart from the shipment costs, the flyers are free of charge.

3. Donations instead of weddings gifts

When Katja Prante and Hanno Andersen were celebrating their wedding, they did not ask their guests for presents. Instead they suggested to make a donation to the Global Marshall Plan Initiative. More than € 1000 were collected. We thank Ms. Prante and Mr. Andersen for this generous act of support.

4. "A European Hope"

The preparations for the book "A European Hope" are under way. So far, 26 authors from 12 nations agreed to send their contributions till 21 September. More detailed information can be found in this overview.
We are still looking for professional volunteers who would like to support us with translations (English-German/German-English), editorial office and / or composition. If you would like to join the team and have some time resources please contact Sabine Stoeck. We thank those who already offered their support.

5. Write a letter to the editor

A letter to the editor is a simple but effective way to raise awareness for the issues of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative. In the past weeks, a couple of letters were published (in German).

Everyone is talking about the climate crisis. However, there is no time left to discuss: we have to act immediately. We have to reduce the CO2-emissions drastically. Moreover, we have to balance the non avoidable emissions by permanent CO2-bonding. That is why we plant trees. [More]
