34 Million Friends
34 Million Friends of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was co-founded by Jane Roberts, she is a well-known activist and author and is focussing since more than 30 years on women's issues, reproductive health, and international family planning. When the US administration decided to defund UNFPA, she started the 35 million friends of UNFPA-campaign. In 2005, Roberts was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her work in international human rights. Roberts has also published a book, "34 Million Friends: Of the Women of the World," which gives details on Roberts mission to achieve social justice for women.
